Do not place these items in the recycling polycart:
- Any item smaller than 2 inches, including lids and caps
- Plastic bags/plastic sheeting (grocery sacks, cereal and cake box liners, food storage bags, plastic newspaper sleeves)
- Unnumbered plastics (film canisters, vitamin and prescription bottles, disposable dishware, utensils, 6-pack rings)
- Styrofoam™ and polystyrene (packing, peanuts, egg cartons, meat trays)
- Glass and ceramic cookware and dishes (Pyrex®, drinking glasses, crystal)
- Porcelain
- Mirrors and mirrored glass
- Window glass and auto glass
- Lightbulbs of any type
- Wax or plastic-coated cardboard or paper products (frozen food containers, frozen juice containers, straws)
- These Paper products:
- Facial and toilet tissue
- Paper towels, plates, cups or any paper in contact with food
- Gift wrap
- Blueprints, carbon paper, construction paper
- Photographs
- Hanging folders
- Hardback books
- Food-soiled containers: Microwave trays
- Aluminum foil, foil drink pouches
- Aerosol spray cans (helium tanks, spray paint, air fresheners, cleaning products)
- Animal Carcasses over 80 lbs.
- Animal Waste
- Hazardous Waste
- Flammable Waste
- Liquid Waste
- Trash/Organics (food and waste, yard waste, pet waste)
- Electronics and small appliances (toasters, microwaves, coffeemakers, cell phones etc.)
- Clothing and textiles: fabric, carpet, carpet padding and shoes
- Syringes, needles, scissors and other sharp items
- Automotive parts and containers (Motor Oil, filters, etc.) that held automotive products.
- Household hazardous waste
- Paint and paint-thinner cans and lids containing hardened/solidified paint

Recycle these in your cart with the green lid:
- Glass food and beverage containers (all colors)
- Paper
- Magazines
- Catalogs

- Paperback books
- Telephone books
- Newsprint (newspaper, advertising inserts)
- Office paper
- Manila file folders
- Copier and printer paper
- Shredded paper, provided it is bagged in clear, plastic bags
- Milk/juice cartons
- Cardboard
- Corrugated cardboard containers
- Paperboard/chipboard (cereal boxes, shoe boxes, food boxes with any Plastic liner removed)
- Carrier stock (pop/beer carton)
- All other grades of cardboard
- Metal
- Iron, steel (tin), and aluminum food and beverage containers
- Scrap metal sized to less than 20 inches in each direction and less than 10 pounds per piece (pots, pans, old metal coffee pots, fixtures)
- Plastic containers marked with recycling symbols Number 1 through Number 7 (bottles, tubs and jars)
- PET plastic containers with symbol Number 1 - screw top only
- HDPE plastic containers with the symbol Number 2 - narrow neck only (milk and water bottles)
- HDPE pigmented plastic containers Number 2 with narrow neck (detergent, shampoo bottles, etc.)
- Plastics Numbers 3 through 7 with narrow neck and screw tops
- Yogurt or margarine plastic tubs
- Deli or salad bowl "clamshells"
